Game of Thrones has made history and earned a place in the 2016 Guinness Book of World Records as the TV series shown in the most countries around the world at the same time. The second episode of the fifth series of the HBO fantasy show some of which is filmed right here in Northern Ireland, was broadcast simultaneously in 173 countries on April 20. Previously the record was held by U.S. crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation which managed a figure of 171 just weeks before. Actress Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark collected the award on behalf of the cast and crew.
