Willie is part of the Clan MacKenzie and joins the cast when they set out to collect the rent. He is very loyal and seems to always do the right thing. He is a minor character, but has a big heart.



The Rent

On the road, he helps Angus give Claire lessons using a knife.

When Jamie and the others go off to get information that can help clear Jamie’s name, Willie’s task is to watch Claire.

When he goes to relieve himself, Claire wanders off, sees she is close to the stones and makes a run for it.

Angus accost Willie when they realize he was the one who gave Colum to extra money they collected on the road for the Jacobite cause.

When Claire and Murtagh need assistance with Jamie’s escape from Wentworth prison, Willie is the first one of the MacKenzie clan to step forward.

While the others go to Wentworth to rescue Jamie, Willie stays behind and gets things ready for him at the Abbey.
While Jamie recovers, Willie tries to talk some sense into him and refuses to give him his sword.

Though he was the first to step up, he is the last to say goodbye when Claire, Murtagh and Jamie leave.
