With Outlander returning to screens in early September, [The Culture Trip] caught up Caitriona Balfe and finds out what’s in store for Claire Randall in season three of the hit show.

As the countdown to the latest series of Outlander continues, The Culture Trip shares its first exclusive interview from the set of the show in Scotland.

When we left Claire at the end of the last series, she had been torn away from Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and been living the rest of her life with her husband Frank (Tobias Menzies) in America. We were also introduced to Jamie and Claire’s daughter and discovered how the characters had coped with the aftermath of the great battle that divided them.
