Ahead of its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September, Kenneth Branagh’s Belfast has released a first-look image featuring lead actors Jamie Dornan and Caitriona Balfe.
Described as his “most personal film” Northern Irish writer-director Branagh’s semi-autobiographical drama also stars Judi Dench, Ciarán Hinds, and newcomer Jude Hill.
TIFF’s official Twitter tweeted a black and white photo of Dornan and Balfe, whose characters are simply named “Pa”and “Ma,” sharing a dance.
Balfe and Dornan play the boy’s “glamorous, working-class” parents, with Dench and Hinds playing his grandparents.
