Sing Me a Song of a Lass (Blacklanderz) that is…AT THE OUTLANDER S2 NY PREMIERE!

We did not know that Blacklanderz Michelle Elita Vera was going to Outlander’s Season 2 NY Premiere until the last minute. We were so excited for her and ask that she write a blog post about her experience.

I was fortunate to be given a ticket to the premiere, on Monday April 4th, 2016. Armed with my pocket Claire, pocket Jamie and dressed in a fun lace maxi dress, I headed to the American Museum of National History in New York City.

Along with many other excited fans, I waited in line to receive my ticket and proceeded to second floor. Upstairs Starz provided a pretty cool Outlander themed photo booth for us to take silly photos that we could tweet out, put on Facebook, email, etc. using the hashtag #ViveOutlander.

The screening was held in the Lefrak Theatre, on what I think was an IMAX screen.

Can you say, Sam Heughan on the big screen!? Yes Lord!

As we waited for the show to start, it was lovely to see so many fans get together. People came from all over for the event and it great to meet old friends and makes some new ones!

Just as we were about to begin, Sam, Caitriona, Tobias, Maril, Terry, and Ron came in and took their seats *internally freaks out that they were there*. We heard from the head of Starz, Chris Albrecht and then from Ron.

This was followed by a hauntingly live performance of the new Sky Boat Song for Season 2 by Bear McCreary and Raya Yarbrough.

Here is a video of the performance via Heughans Heughligans.

After that, the show began and I must say you won’t be disappointed!

Thank you to Starz and the Outlander cast and crew for providing fans the opportunity to go the premiere!
