Outlander S2 Epi9 – Je Suis Prest

Starz/TV Synopsis

Claire and Jamie reunite with the Lallybroch and MacKenzie men as they train for war, but Jamie’s power struggles with Dougal and Claire’s personal battle with her memories of WWII weigh upon them.

We all know that Jamie’s clan motto, Je Suis Prest, translates to I am ready!

This is what we will witness in this episode; Jamie is ready for all things. He is a totally different man from the one the MacKenzie clan last saw, especially Dougal. He has transformed into the man he is to become.

READY TO FACE DOUGAL – MANO A MANO

It will be interesting to see his interaction with Dougal, who is the MacKenzie War Chieftain.

The last time we saw Dougal in S1:

1) He was in a cave with all his booty, hoarding treasures to build up the Jacobite rebellion.

2) He made Claire a proposition of married – for her protection, of course – in the event, they hang Jamie.

3) He also wanted Lallybroch. Why does e’rybody want what Jamie has?

4) And last, but certainly not least, he didn’t lift a finger to try and help Claire rescue Jamie from Wentworth.

Except for#4, I am not sure how much of this Jamie will know. So their interaction is one I am eagerly awaiting to see.

READY TO PREPARE/TRAIN HIS MEN

His men. His clan. He knows how to prepare them for war.

Murtagh is there on Jamie’s right and is training the men too.

READY TO LEAD

In Paris, Claire was the one to convince Jamie of the plans to thwart the Prince’s forming a rebellion. Now, back in Lallybroch, Jamie – KING OF MEN – is the one who rising to the occasion to convince Claire they need to win.
